Get book reviews without paying for them

Every route to your first reviews charges you in money or in weeks. The one below charges reading time, which is the currency indie authors already have. Review four books from the iWrity library, and the fourth approval hands you a month of Pro plus your own book on the board.

The offer, in one line

Four approved reviews, one free month of Pro, your book listed, points kept, no card at any point.

What the free month includes

The awkward questions

Answered the way we would want them answered.

Where is the catch?

You have to read four books and write reviews that a human would recognise as having read them. Reviews are checked for engagement with the actual text. If you were hoping to click through four books in an evening, this is not that.

Do I need a card?

No. Not to sign up, not to claim the month, not at the end. The month expires by itself and nothing charges.

Will my book definitely get reviewed?

No, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something. Pickup depends on how many readers are active in your genre that week. Books from non-US marketplaces are subsidized to give them a better chance, which is unusual, and a well written description does most of the rest.

Are these Amazon reviews?

The reviews are written on iWrity, by readers who chose your book. What readers do afterwards on their own retail account is their decision, never a condition. Paying for a review, or making one conditional on another, is exactly what gets author accounts pulled.

What happens after the free month?

You drop back to the free plan unless you choose a paid one. Nothing is deleted. Points you earned stay yours, and you can go on earning more by reviewing.

Who this suits

A good fit if

  • You published recently and have fewer than five reviews.
  • You read in your own genre anyway.
  • Your budget for launch marketing is close to nothing.
  • Your book sells outside the United States and gets ignored elsewhere.

A bad fit if

  • You want reviews without reading anything.
  • You need a specific star rating.
  • You want it done this week.
  • Your book is not finished. Reviewers will say so.

Four books, one free month

The account is free and takes a minute. Look at the library first if you want to check there is something you would enjoy reading.
