When per-click makes sense, and when once does
Per-click advertising is right when you can measure the return the same week and turn it off if the maths fails. It is wrong for a book with no reviews, because the clicks bounce. A one-time placement is right when you want to be on a page that ranks and you would rather not manage a dashboard. It is wrong if you need a spike on a specific day. Most authors with a small budget do the free listing, then a placement, then ads.

Is advertising a book on Skriuwer the same as running ads?
No. Ads are auctioned by the click. A placement is a paragraph about your book inside a best-of article, written by us, labelled as paid, and left there. You pay once and there is no budget to top up.
Which book advertising channel should I try first?
The free listing, because it costs nothing and the page stays up. Then Amazon Ads with a small daily budget once the product page has reviews. Buy a placement when you want to be on a list readers find through Google.
How is a placement labelled?
Every placement carries a visible paid label and the link uses rel="sponsored". Readers see it, Google sees it, and your free listing is not affected either way.
Can I advertise a book that is not on Amazon?
Yes. The placement links wherever the book is sold. Amazon is the default because that is where most of our readers buy.
What is the minimum spend?
