Katie overcame an abusive past to become a successful journalist living her dream in New York with her handsome husband, a renowned psychiatrist. Work leads her on an expedition in Hawaii with a man who has his own irreconcilable past, after which she returns a changed, malicious person. When Katie puts her own son in danger, Isaac and Ella intervene. Katie has either “snapped,” as her husband suggests, or has turned herself over to the demons which have haunted her spirit since the time she killed her father. Either way, she has to be stopped from hurting the people she loves or from hurting herself.
