The ride across America in the first book changed what he wanted from his own life, so rather than going home he made one phone call, quit his career and started moving south with no plan and no destination. The trip runs down the Pacific Coast Highway and on through South America, haggling over a room in the Andes in a place he had never heard of, and eventually as far as Antarctica. Second in the Buddha and the Bee series, and it reads fine on its own if you start here. For anyone who likes travel writing that admits how much of a journey gets improvised.
