Beyond Good and Evil

Beyond Good and Evil is one of Nietzsche's most important works and arguably the key text for understanding his mature philosophy. In it, Nietzsche attacks past philosophers for their alleged lack of critical sense and their blind acceptance of Christian-Judaic morality. He calls for a complete reassessment of values, argues that morality is merely a tool by which the weak control the strong, and proposes a new order of values based on life affirmation and power. The book is a fierce, poetic critique of Western philosophy and religion, and a call for a new breed of philosopher who will create values rather than merely accept received ones.
